"Private sessions really motivate me because they are specific to me, my history and my goals. All of Hannah’s attention is on giving me the support and challenge I need to help me move efficiently. She always pushes me to do more than I think I can and sometimes the tiniest correction makes the biggest difference! I really enjoy it."

"A knee injury led to me having private sessions initially but having experienced the accelerated progress, I’m sticking with them. All of Hannah’s focus is on me and she refines movements, finds my limits and supports me to break through them. I’m no longer progressing at the pace of the class but progressing at my own pace."

“My work schedule is different each week and so I can’t always attend timetabled group classes. I was getting really frustrated with missing so many and wasn’t feeling like I was getting better. With private sessions, I choose a time that is convenient for me and I don’t even have to factor in travel as Hannah comes to me!”
— Pauline
-
"I can’t relax during group classes because I spend all of my time worrying about farting, making sure my top doesn’t ride up and trying to smile. In private sessions, I feel safe and I can be myself and focus on me."
— Laura
-
“Perhaps it’s the competitive side of me but I work harder in a group class. I see people pushing themselves and making progress and it makes me want to push myself harder.”
— Rachael
-
“Group classes are great. When the teacher cues someone in the class to do something (like ‘float your head up to the sky’), it makes me check myself and my technique too so I gain from everyone else.”
— Julie
-
“My friend and I always used to meet up for coffee or for lunch. Now we go to Pilates together. It’s a fun thing to do together.”
— Steph
-
“With group classes, I’m more motivated to go because I know that if I don’t then the friends I’ve made in the class will nag me!”
— Dorothy
-
“I feel valued in what is almost its own little community. I care for others in the class and they care for me and that keeps me wanting to come to class.”
— Jill

“Private sessions work for me because I get to pick Hannah’s brain and improve my understanding. Some people don’t really care but she knows that I get more out of each movement when I properly understand it so throughout each session she explains what we are doing, why it’s good for me and my body and how it should be done. She also adapts and modifies movements for me so that when I’m at home practising Pilates, I know easier and more difficult options that I can try depending on how I’m feeling. She has a wealth of knowledge that I can really gain from one to one.”

“As someone with a lot of health issues, private sessions help me to reduce ongoing pain and prevent future injuries. They have really improved my quality of life. I’m strong and healthy despite my health challenges, and I’m more active than many healthy men I know. While some are starting to struggle with chronic pain and mobility, I’m enjoying 5-mile hikes and regular rounds of golf. I’ve added years of movement to my life and I’ll be taking private sessions for years to come.”
— Charles

“When I was working from home, I didn’t get much social interaction. Now I’m retired, I get even less. I look forward to the group classes because I meet new people that share at least one of my interests. I enjoy the small talk before and after class and some of us have started to go for a coffee afterwards.”
— Dianne

“Having private sessions has not only helped me recover from a sports injury but it’s actually improved my performance as a result: I now run faster, ride hard and can swim longer.”
— Jess
-
“Private sessions have given me a much better self awareness. I never realised just how much my shoulders roll forward when working at a computer or how curved my neck is when I’m texting. I now notice these things and know what to do to improve them.”
— Alex

“I love the social aspect. Because Pilates is for everyone, I’ve met and got to know lots of new people. Some of them will be lifelong friends.”
